The HARVEY TOOL 17015 is a solid carbide corner rounding end mill designed to produce consistent, controlled radius profiles on workpiece edges in precision machining applications. With a 1/64 inch radius and a 0.125 inch mill diameter, this double-end tool delivers two usable cutting ends, extending tool life and reducing per-edge tooling cost. The micrograin carbide substrate supports rigidity and edge retention at elevated cutting speeds. Two right-hand flutes with a right-hand cutting direction provide efficient chip evacuation in a range of materials. The bright, uncoated finish makes it suitable for use in aluminum, brass, and other non-ferrous metals, as well as certain plastics and composites.
This end mill fits standard milling and machining center setups in job shop, toolroom, and production environments. The 1/8 inch shank diameter suits collet-style toolholders common on CNC mills and manual knee mills. The double-end configuration is especially practical in high-mix, low-volume shops where maximizing tool utility per unit matters. It is part of the Corner Rounding End Mills 2 and 4 Flute Flared series, which is built for edge-break and radius blending operations across ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces.
Designed for use in collet toolholders accepting a 1/8 inch shank diameter, compatible with CNC machining centers and manual milling machines equipped for small-diameter end mill tooling.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before loading or changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the collet and torque the collet nut to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning cutting operations, as excessive runout will accelerate edge wear on small-diameter carbide tools.
