The HARVEY TOOL 17008-C3 is a double-end corner rounding end mill designed to machine precise edge radii on metal workpieces. Built from solid carbide and coated with AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride), it delivers hardness and heat resistance suited for high-speed cutting in ferrous and non-ferrous alloys. The tool produces a 0.20 mm (0.0080 inch) corner radius on a 0.046 inch tip diameter, with a 1/8 inch mill diameter and a matched 1/8 inch shank diameter. With 2 flutes in a flared corner-rounding geometry, it provides clean, consistent edge breaks without secondary deburring operations. Machinists and CNC operators install this tool in standard end mill holders or collet chucks on vertical and horizontal milling centers.
This end mill is suited for production and prototype machining applications where edge-radius consistency is required on tight-tolerance components. Typical applications include breaking sharp corners on aerospace, medical, and general precision machined parts where a controlled radius replaces a chamfer or hand deburr. The flared corner-rounding geometry allows the tool to run along a feature edge and produce a uniform radius in a single pass. The double-end configuration extends tool life by providing a second usable cutting end, reducing per-part tooling cost in high-volume runs.
Designed for use in CNC milling machines and machining centers accepting a 1/8 inch shank diameter end mill. Compatible with standard ER collet chucks, precision end mill holders, and hydraulic tool holders sized for 1/8 inch shanks.
This tool is installed and changed by machinists or CNC tooling technicians following standard lockout procedures for milling equipment. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the collet or holder to the recommended gauge-line depth and torque the retention nut according to the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the cutting edges under magnification before use; carbide tools are brittle and should not be dropped or contacted with hard surfaces during handling.
