The HARVEY TOOL 16020-C3 is a back corner rounding end mill designed for creating precise radius profiles on the back edges and undercuts of machined workpieces. Built from solid carbide and coated with AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride), this single-end tool operates with a 0.5mm (0.0200 inch) radius and a 3/16 inch (0.1875 inch) cutting diameter. The three-flute geometry supports efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes in demanding cutting environments. It is sized for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where tight tolerances on back-side edge geometry are required.
This end mill is suited for aerospace, mold and die, and precision parts machining applications where back edge radii must be held consistently. The AlTiN coating provides elevated heat resistance, making this tool appropriate for dry or semi-dry cutting in hardened steels, stainless steels, titanium, and high-temperature alloys. The right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction make it compatible with standard CNC spindle configurations. It ships as a single unit and is intended for professional machinists and tool-and-die shops.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide back corner rounding end mill for use in standard 3/16 inch collet or end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation and tool changes must be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine control placed in a safe state. Secure the 3/16 inch shank in a properly sized collet or end mill holder torqued to the machine manufacturer specification. Inspect the cutting edges and coating before each use and do not run a chipped or damaged tool. Follow applicable shop safety practices and machine guarding requirements during operation.
