The HARVEY TOOL 15324-C1 is a solid carbide drill mill designed for professionals who need a single tool capable of drilling, milling, and chamfering in one setup. With a 3/8 inch cutting diameter and a 90-degree point angle, it handles center drilling, spotting, and end milling operations without a tool change. The 4-flute, right-hand cutting geometry paired with a TiN (Titanium Nitride) coating delivers extended tool life and reduced friction in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Micrograin carbide construction provides rigidity and wear resistance under demanding machining conditions. Machinists, tool and die shops, and CNC operators rely on this style of tool to consolidate operations and reduce cycle time.
The 15324-C1 is suited for use in vertical machining centers, knee mills, and CNC milling machines where drilling and peripheral milling must be performed in close sequence. Its 7/8 inch length of cut accommodates moderate-depth pockets and through-hole applications in a range of workpiece materials. The 3/8 inch shank fits standard ER collet chucks and end mill holders, making it compatible with the toolholding systems found in most production and job shop environments. Right-hand flute direction supports conventional chip evacuation in typical milling and drilling passes.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or addition for standard 3/8 inch toolholding systems including ER collet chucks and end mill holders used in CNC vertical machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC operator using a calibrated collet chuck or end mill holder torqued per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before cutting to maximize tool life and surface finish quality. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before installing or removing the tool. Follow applicable shop safety protocols and machine guarding requirements during setup.
