The HARVEY TOOL 14099-C3 is a miniature square end mill designed for precision milling operations in demanding machining environments. Built from solid carbide, it features a 0.1000 inch cutting diameter, a 0.1500 inch length of cut, and four right-hand spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle. The AlTiN coating increases surface hardness and heat resistance, extending tool life during high-speed and dry cutting applications. At 1.5000 inches overall length with a 0.1250 inch shank diameter, this single-end tool is suited for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where small-diameter, high-accuracy cuts are required. Machinists and tooling specialists are the primary users.
This end mill is well-suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and other non-ferrous metals, and carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) materials. Its stub and standard miniature geometry makes it a practical choice for fine-detail work, slot milling, and profiling in tight-tolerance components. It is centercutting, allowing plunge entry directly into the workpiece, and its right-hand cutting direction is compatible with standard CNC spindle configurations. Typical applications include aerospace components, medical device parts, mold work, and precision instrument manufacturing.

Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a safe, locked-out state. Secure the 0.1250 inch shank in a properly sized collet or end mill holder, ensuring full engagement depth to minimize runout. At this diameter, even minor runout will significantly reduce tool life and cut quality — verify holder concentricity before use. Follow the machine tool manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety procedures when setting speeds and feeds for miniature carbide tooling.
