The HARVEY TOOL 13950 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in tight-tolerance applications. With a 0.050-inch cutting diameter and a 0.075-inch length of cut, this tool handles small-feature profiling, slotting, and contouring in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. At 1.5 inches overall length with a 0.125-inch shank diameter, the 13950 fits standard collets and tool holders common in CNC machining centers and manual mills. The bright uncoated finish makes it suitable for a wide range of base materials without coating-compatibility concerns.
This end mill is used in CNC machining, tool and die, mold making, and precision component manufacturing. The small 0.050-inch diameter makes it well suited for micro-milling, fine detail work, and narrow slot cutting where larger tools cannot reach. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute geometry follow standard convention for conventional and climb milling operations. It is a single-end tool, meaning it is used from one cutting end only. Machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, production facilities, and prototype shops are the primary users.
Designed as a standard 0.125-inch shank square end mill compatible with CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with collets or tool holders accepting a 1/8-inch shank diameter.
Installation of small-diameter end mills should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully powered down and the machine is in a safe state before loading or changing tools. Secure the shank fully within the collet to the recommended grip depth to minimize runout and prevent tool pullout during cutting. Verify spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut in the machining program before engaging the workpiece, as small-diameter carbide tools are sensitive to excessive load and deflection.
