The HARVEY TOOL 13947-C3 is a miniature square end mill designed for precision material removal in tight geometries and small-feature machining applications. Built from solid carbide, the tool measures 0.047 inches in diameter with a 0.07-inch length of cut, making it well-suited for work that demands accuracy at a small scale. The AlTiN coating extends tool life when cutting ferrous materials at elevated temperatures. With a 30-degree helix angle and right-hand flute direction, this end mill provides efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting characteristics across a range of workpiece materials.
This end mill is intended for use on CNC machining centers and high-speed spindle setups where small-diameter, single-end tooling is required. It is rated for cutting steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous alloys, and CFRP materials. The 1/8-inch shank diameter accommodates standard small-bore collet chucks. Machinists working in tool-and-die, mold, medical component, and aerospace fabrication environments will encounter this type of tooling regularly. It is a single-end, stub-to-standard length tool suited for shallow-depth slot, profile, and contour operations.
Designed for use with CNC machining centers and high-speed spindle setups equipped with 1/8-inch collet chucks. Rated for primary workpiece materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous alloys, and CFRP materials per material codes P, M, K, N, and C.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before inserting or removing the tool from the collet. Verify collet bore size matches the 1/8-inch shank before clamping. At miniature diameters, runout control is critical - use a precision collet chuck and confirm TIR is within acceptable limits for the application before beginning a cut.
