The HARVEY TOOL 13931-C4 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling of hardened materials, composites, graphite, and abrasive nonferrous workpieces. It carries a 1/32 inch (0.031 inch decimal) cutting diameter with a 0.046 inch length of cut and a 1/8 inch shank diameter. The amorphous diamond coating significantly extends tool life in abrasive applications where uncoated carbide would wear rapidly. With 2 flutes and a 30-degree right-hand helix, this end mill is built for center-cutting passes and delivers clean edge geometry in tight-profile slotting and profiling operations. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working with CNC mills and micro-machining centers are the primary users.
This end mill is suited for micro-scale milling tasks on CNC machining centers, high-speed spindle setups, and precision tooling applications. The 1/32 inch diameter makes it appropriate for fine detail work, narrow slot cutting, and contour passes in graphite electrodes, carbon fiber, ceramics, and other hard or abrasive materials. The 1-1/2 inch overall length provides adequate reach without excessive deflection at this diameter. Single-end configuration means the tool is replaced rather than reversed when the cutting end is worn.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and high-speed spindles accepting a 1/8 inch round shank. Suitable for right-hand cutting operations in abrasive materials including graphite, carbon fiber, ceramics, and nonferrous alloys where diamond-coated tooling is specified.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer's tooling and runout specifications. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Use a precision collet or toolholder rated for the 1/8 inch shank diameter to minimize runout, which is critical at this small cutting diameter. Follow shop-standard practices for tool stick-out and cutting parameter selection appropriate to the workpiece material and spindle speed capability.
