The HARVEY TOOL 12720-C4 is a miniature square end mill designed for precision metal removal in demanding machining applications. Built from solid carbide and coated with an amorphous diamond PVD finish, this single-end tool delivers wear resistance and thermal stability when cutting ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 0.50 mm cutting diameter and 0.1000 inch length of cut make it well suited for fine-detail milling where tight tolerances and small feature sizes are required. A 30-degree helix angle and three-flute spiral geometry promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action at elevated spindle speeds.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers, high-speed milling machines, and precision manual mills where miniature tooling is required. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and other non-ferrous alloys, and CFRP composite materials. The 1/8 inch shank diameter suits standard miniature collet chucks and tool holders commonly found in precision machining environments. It is sold as a single-end tool with no chipbreaker geometry, making it appropriate for smooth-finish passes in confined pockets and contour work.

Verify runout with a dial indicator after clamping, as excessive runout significantly reduces tool life at this diameter. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling manufacturer recommendations for speeds and feeds when working with miniature carbide end mills.
