The HARVEY TOOL 12562-C3 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision material removal in tight geometries and miniature machining applications. With a 0.0625-inch (1/16 inch) mill diameter, a 3/8-inch length of cut, and a 4-flute spiral configuration, this single-end tool delivers clean, accurate cuts in demanding materials. The AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and hardness at the cutting edge, extending tool life in ferrous and abrasive workpiece materials. A 30-degree helix angle and centercutting geometry allow plunge entry and efficient chip evacuation in high-precision setups.
This end mill is suited for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, and CFRP materials in CNC milling applications. Its long-flute miniature profile makes it well matched for small-feature work including slots, pockets, and contour milling where reach and cutter diameter are tightly constrained. The 1/8-inch shank diameter fits standard miniature collets and tool holders commonly found on CNC machining centers and high-speed spindle setups used in precision manufacturing, mold work, and aerospace component production.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature square end mill for use in CNC machining centers and high-speed spindles accepting a 1/8-inch shank diameter. Primary workpiece material compatibility includes steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum and non-ferrous metals, and CFRP materials as specified by the manufacturer.
Installation and tool changes must be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle at a complete stop and machine power confirmed off or locked out per applicable safety procedures. Seat the 1/8-inch shank fully and evenly in a matched collet or end mill holder, torquing the retention mechanism per the tool holder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before first cut. Do not exceed the manufacturer-recommended depth of cut or feed rate for the workpiece material and tool diameter.
