The HARVEY TOOL 12510 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composites, and engineered plastics. With a 5/32 inch (0.1562 inch) cutting diameter and 4 flutes, this tool delivers clean, square-shoulder cuts with efficient chip evacuation. The 30-degree helix angle balances cutting forces and surface finish across a variety of materials. It is centercutting, allowing plunge entry directly into the workpiece. This end mill is intended for use by machinists and tooling professionals operating CNC mills or manual milling machines where tight tolerances and repeatable geometry are required.
This end mill suits general-purpose milling applications including slotting, profiling, and pocket milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The uncoated solid carbide construction makes it appropriate for applications where coating interaction with the workpiece material is a concern, or where re-sharpening is anticipated. The 3/16 inch shank diameter fits standard collets and end mill holders commonly found in production and job-shop environments. The 1 inch length of cut accommodates moderate-depth passes in typical milling setups.
Designed as a standard-geometry square end mill for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 3/16 inch shank via collet, end mill holder, or compatible toolholding system.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or spindle is locked out before inserting or removing the end mill. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder to the recommended engagement depth per the toolholder manufacturer and torque the retention mechanism accordingly. Verify runout with a dial indicator before production use to confirm proper seating and avoid premature tool wear.
