The HART COOLEY 10r3 is a double-wall Type B vent round pipe designed for Category 1 gas appliance venting applications. It measures 10 inches in diameter and 3 feet in length, with an aluminum inner wall and a galvanized steel outer wall. The double-wall construction maintains flue gas temperatures to support proper draft while keeping the outer surface cooler than single-wall alternatives. Licensed HVAC technicians and plumbers install this pipe as part of listed B-vent systems on natural gas and propane appliances. At 9.98 pounds, it is sized for larger residential or light commercial venting runs.
This pipe section is used in Category 1 negative-pressure, fan-assisted or natural-draft gas appliance venting systems. Typical applications include gas furnaces, boilers, and water heaters that require Type B vent per the appliance manufacturer and applicable fuel-gas codes. The 10-inch diameter is suited for higher-capacity appliances or combined vent manifolds where smaller diameters would restrict flow. It connects with other listed Type B vent components to form a complete, code-compliant vent system routed through conditioned or unconditioned spaces to an approved termination point.
Designed for use in listed Type B double-wall vent systems for Category 1 natural-draft and fan-assisted gas appliances. Must be used with other listed Type B vent components from a compatible listed system.
Installation must be performed by a qualified HVAC technician or plumber in accordance with the appliance manufacturer instructions, the vent system listing, and the applicable edition of the International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC) or local equivalent. Shut off gas supply and allow the appliance and existing vent components to cool completely before servicing or modifying the vent system. Maintain required clearances to combustibles as specified in the vent system listing and local code. Do not mix listed vent system components from incompatible manufacturers within the same vent run.
