The HARCO 69-3115DB is a socket fusion HDPE reducer coupling designed for water service piping. It transitions from a 1.25-inch socket to a 0.75-inch socket using a heat-fused joint, eliminating the need for mechanical fittings or solvent cement. The coupling is manufactured from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and finished in black, which is standard for water service applications. Plumbers and water service contractors install this fitting where a buried or above-grade water line requires a reduction in pipe diameter while maintaining a leak-free, pressure-rated fusion joint.
This coupling is suited for potable water service, irrigation, and general water distribution piping using HDPE pipe. Socket fusion fittings of this type are typically installed in residential and light commercial water service applications where HDPE pipe is specified. The black HDPE construction is appropriate for below-grade water service lines. The fitting accepts standard socket fusion tooling compatible with its respective pipe sizes.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitting for socket fusion HDPE water service piping systems in residential and light commercial applications.
Socket fusion HDPE fittings are installed by licensed plumbers using calibrated socket fusion tools including a heating iron, socket face, and spigot face sized to the pipe. Shut off water supply and depressurize the line before cutting into any existing piping. Follow ASTM F1056 or the tool manufacturer's heating time and cooling time guidelines for the pipe diameter being fused. Do not disturb or apply force to the joint until the full cool time has elapsed.
