The HALEX SCOTT FETZER HNF60R is a 60-amp, non-fused AC disconnect designed to cut power to an air conditioning unit during service or maintenance. Built from metallic construction for durability in outdoor environments, this disconnect operates at 120/240 volts and provides a reliable means of electrical isolation at the equipment. It is installed by licensed electricians or HVAC technicians as part of standard code-compliant AC system installations. The non-fused design keeps the disconnect simple and cost-effective for applications where overcurrent protection is handled elsewhere in the circuit.
This disconnect is intended for outdoor use in residential and light commercial air conditioning installations. It is mounted near the condensing unit to provide local lockout capability as required by the NEC for HVAC equipment. The metallic enclosure stands up to weather exposure and UV, making it appropriate for rooftop, ground-level, or wall-mounted installations adjacent to condensing equipment.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation disconnect for outdoor residential and light commercial air conditioning condensing units requiring a 60-amp, 120/240-volt non-fused disconnect.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician or qualified HVAC technician in accordance with NEC Article 440 requirements for air conditioning equipment disconnects. De-energize the upstream circuit at the breaker panel before mounting or wiring the disconnect. The disconnect must be installed within sight of the condensing unit as required by applicable electrical code. Do not exceed the 60-amp rating of the device.
