The HALEX/SCOTT FETZER 96194 is a zinc-plated steel conduit locknut sold in a 2-pack for use with 1-1/4 inch rigid metal conduit (RMC) and intermediate metal conduit (IMC). The locknut threads onto the conduit hub to secure the conduit fitting tightly against an enclosure, panel, or junction box knockout. Zinc plating provides corrosion resistance suitable for dry and damp indoor installations. At 2.14 pounds per package of 25 units, these locknuts are a standard consumable stocked by electricians for panel work and conduit rough-in.
This locknut is designed for 1-1/4 inch rigid and IMC conduit systems commonly found in commercial and industrial electrical installations, as well as residential service entrance and panel work. Electricians use conduit locknuts when terminating conduit runs into enclosures, load centers, and junction boxes. The 2-pack polybag format with UPC labeling suits both counter sales and job-site use.
Designed for use with 1-1/4 inch rigid metal conduit and intermediate metal conduit (IMC) terminations at electrical enclosures and panel knockouts.
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. De-energize all circuits and lock out the panel before working inside any enclosure. Thread the locknut onto the conduit hub by hand, then tighten with a locknut wrench or flat-blade screwdriver and hammer to ensure a solid, low-resistance mechanical connection. Do not overtighten to the point of cracking the enclosure knockout.
