The HALEX/SCOTT FETZER 96113 is a 1-inch, 1-hole steel conduit strap designed for securing rigid metal conduit and IMC conduit to framing, joists, and structural surfaces. Constructed from zinc-plated steel, it resists corrosion in typical indoor electrical installations. The snap-on design allows fast, tool-free attachment to the conduit before fastening to the mounting surface, reducing installation time on rough-in work. Each package contains 15 straps. This fitting is a standard component in commercial and residential electrical rough-in work and is installed by licensed electricians and apprentices following NEC requirements for conduit support intervals.
This strap is suited for 1-inch rigid steel conduit and intermediate metal conduit runs in residential, commercial, and light industrial settings. It is commonly used to anchor conduit to wood studs, steel framing, concrete, or block walls when combined with appropriate fasteners. The snap-on profile speeds up conduit runs where multiple support points are required across long spans or raceways.
Designed for use with 1-inch rigid metal conduit and intermediate metal conduit (IMC) as stated by the manufacturer.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians in accordance with NEC Article 344 (rigid metal conduit) and Article 342 (IMC) support interval requirements. Power down the circuit or confirm the conduit run is de-energized before fastening straps in proximity to energized components. Secure each strap with an appropriate fastener for the mounting substrate — wood screws for wood framing, masonry anchors for concrete or block. Do not overtighten fasteners in a way that deforms the conduit or strap profile.
