The HALEX/SCOTT FETZER 91531 is a 1/2-inch combination coupling designed to transition electrical metallic tubing (EMT) to flexible metal conduit (FMC) using a set screw connection method. Constructed from die cast zinc, this fitting provides a secure mechanical and electrical bond at the junction between rigid EMT runs and flexible conduit drops. It ships in a polybag package of 15 units, making it practical for stocking service vehicles or job boxes. The set screw design allows for tool-tightened installation without the need for specialized crimping equipment. UL and CSA listed for use in standard electrical conduit installations.
This coupling is suited for residential and commercial electrical wiring applications where a conduit run transitions from EMT to flexible metal conduit, such as at equipment connections, junction points, or motor terminations. Electricians commonly use this type of fitting when rigid conduit must transition to a short flexible section for vibration isolation or equipment alignment. Each package contains 15 couplings, supporting multi-connection installations on a single job.
Designed for use with 1/2-inch electrical metallic tubing (EMT) and 1/2-inch flexible metal conduit (FMC) in standard conduit wiring systems.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians in accordance with applicable NEC requirements for conduit fittings and grounding continuity. De-energize all circuits in the affected conduit run before beginning work. Tighten set screws with the appropriate slotted or hex driver to ensure a secure mechanical connection. Do not overtighten, as die cast zinc fittings can crack under excessive torque.
