The HALEX/SCOTT FETZER 91321 is a rigid steel reducing bushing designed to transition conduit or knockout openings from a 3/4 inch trade size down to a 1/2 inch trade size. This fitting is a standard electrical fitting used to adapt larger threaded conduit entries to smaller conduit runs or fittings. Constructed from rigid steel, it delivers the mechanical protection and grounding continuity required in metallic conduit systems. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this bushing during panel, junction box, and conduit fitting work in both new construction and retrofit applications.
This reducing bushing is suited for use in commercial and residential electrical installations where rigid metal conduit (RMC) or intermediate metal conduit (IMC) systems require a trade size reduction at boxes, panels, or enclosures. It is a common stock item for electricians working on conduit runs that terminate at standard knockout sizes. The bushing ships in a polybag unit and is sold in a package quantity of 25, making it practical for contractors stocking job-site supplies.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitting for rigid metal conduit and intermediate metal conduit systems requiring a 3/4 inch to 1/2 inch trade size reduction at boxes, enclosures, and panel knockouts.
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) requirements for conduit fittings and raceway systems. De-energize and lock out the panel or enclosure before beginning work on any conduit entry point. Thread the bushing hand-tight into the knockout or fitting, then tighten with an appropriate conduit fitting wrench to ensure a secure, electrically continuous connection. Do not over-tighten to the point of damaging the threads on the bushing or the enclosure knockout.
