The HALEX/SCOTT FETZER 90481 is a 1/2 inch knockout box connector designed for use with AC/ACT armored cable in standard electrical enclosures. The connector uses a set screw fastening method to secure the cable jacket, providing a firm mechanical connection between the armored cable and the box knockout. Constructed from die cast zinc, the 90481 delivers solid corrosion resistance and dimensional stability in typical indoor electrical installations. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this fitting as part of branch circuit wiring in residential and light commercial applications. Each package contains 15 connectors, making it a practical stock item for service trucks and job sites.
This connector is suited for 1/2 inch knockouts found in outlet boxes, junction boxes, panel enclosures, and other standard electrical enclosures where ACT armored cable terminations are required. The set screw design allows quick, tool-accessible installation without the need for specialized crimping tools. Typical applications include residential wiring, tenant improvements, and commercial build-outs where armored cable is the specified wiring method. Sold in a UPC-labeled polybag with 15 units per package.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitting for use with AC and ACT armored cable in 1/2 inch knockout openings on standard electrical boxes and enclosures.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. De-energize the circuit and verify absence of voltage before making any connections at the box. Insert the connector body through the knockout, secure the locknut on the interior side, then seat the armored cable and tighten the set screw firmly against the cable jacket. Do not over-tighten the set screw to the point of deforming or cutting through the cable armor.
