The HALEX/SCOTT FETZER 90371 is a 1/2 inch EMT offset connector designed to terminate a run of electrical metallic tubing to an enclosure or box when a slight positional adjustment is needed. The set screw fastening method secures the connector to the conduit without requiring tools beyond a standard screwdriver or nut driver. Constructed from die cast zinc, this connector is rated for dry locations only. It ships in a UPC-labeled polybag containing 20 connectors, making it a practical quantity for panel rough-ins and device box terminations on residential and light commercial jobs.
This connector is used wherever 1/2 inch EMT terminates at a panel, junction box, or device enclosure and the knockout and conduit run are not in perfect alignment. The offset geometry bridges minor misalignment without requiring the installer to re-bend or re-route the conduit. Typical applications include residential branch circuit rough-in, light commercial electrical enclosures, and retrofit work where existing conduit runs do not land flush with box knockouts. Dry location installation is required.
Designed as an OEM-style fitting for use with standard 1/2 inch EMT conduit terminating at electrical enclosures or boxes in dry locations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements for EMT conduit systems. De-energize the circuit and verify the enclosure is not live before beginning termination work. Tighten the set screw securely to maintain a proper mechanical and electrical bond between the conduit and enclosure. This connector is not rated for wet or damp locations and must not be used outdoors or in areas subject to moisture.
