The HALEX/SCOTT FETZER 90291 is a 90-degree compression-type connector designed for use with 1/2-inch Electrical Metallic Tubing (EMT). It terminates EMT conduit to an unthreaded knockout where a right-angle approach is required. The body is die cast zinc for durability in standard electrical enclosure applications. This fitting is sold in a package of 15 and is packaged in a UPC poly bag. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this connector during rough-in and panel work where conduit must change direction at the point of entry into a box or enclosure.
This connector is used in residential and commercial electrical installations where 1/2-inch EMT must terminate at a right angle into a junction box, panel, or enclosure knockout. The 90-degree configuration reduces the need for field bends near the termination point, making it practical in tight spaces or where conduit routing runs perpendicular to the enclosure face. It is a standard compression-style fitting that does not require threading of the conduit.
Designed as an OEM-style compression fitting for use with 1/2-inch Electrical Metallic Tubing at unthreaded knockouts in standard electrical enclosures and junction boxes.
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC requirements for EMT conduit systems. Power must be de-energized at the panel before making any connections at boxes or enclosures. The compression nut should be tightened by hand first, then snugged with pliers — do not overtighten die cast zinc fittings. Verify the knockout size matches the fitting before installation to ensure a secure, code-compliant termination.
