The HALEX/SCOTT FETZER 58610 is a Type LB threaded oval conduit body designed for use with 1-inch rigid metal conduit (RMC) or intermediate metal conduit (IMC). Constructed from copper-free die cast aluminum, it provides a durable, corrosion-resistant access point in conduit raceway systems. The unit ships with a cover and gasket pre-assembled, reducing installation time on the jobsite. Electricians install this fitting to facilitate wire pulling, system maintenance, circuit additions, or conductor splicing where the NEC permits. It is UL Listed and SA Listed, confirming compliance with applicable safety standards for conduit fittings in commercial and residential electrical installations.
This conduit body is suited for residential and commercial electrical rough-in and retrofit work where a 90-degree change of direction is needed in a conduit run. It joins two sections of 1-inch rigid or IMC conduit and opens the raceway for access without disturbing the full conduit run. Typical installation scenarios include service entrances, panel feeds, exposed industrial conduit runs, and interior raceway systems where wire access is periodically required.
