The HALEX/SCOTT FETZER 27529 is a plastic insulating conduit bushing sold in a 2-pack, designed to protect wires and cables at the open end of threaded conduit or conduit connectors. Made from flame-retardant thermoplastic rated to 105 degrees Celsius, this bushing creates a smooth, well-rounded bearing surface that prevents insulation damage where conductors exit conduit. Installation of insulating bushings at conduit terminations is a standard NEC requirement. Electricians reach for this part on residential and commercial rough-in work wherever threaded conduit terminates at a panel, junction box, or enclosure. The bushing is both UL and CSA listed.
This bushing fits 1-1/4 inch threaded conduit terminations and conduit connectors. It is commonly installed during panel wiring, sub-panel feeds, feeder runs, and branch circuit rough-in where the NEC requires a smooth, insulating surface at conduit ends to protect conductor insulation. The 2-pack format reduces trips to the service vehicle on multi-circuit installations. Suitable for residential and light commercial electrical work wherever 1-1/4 inch threaded conduit is used.
Designed for use with 1-1/4 inch threaded conduit and conduit connectors as an NEC-compliant insulating bushing at conduit terminations.
Installed by licensed electricians as part of conduit termination work. De-energize and lock out the circuit or panel before working at any conduit termination point. Thread or press the bushing onto the end of the conduit before pulling wire to avoid conductor insulation abrasion. Work must comply with applicable NEC articles governing conduit installations and wiring methods.
