The HALEX/SCOTT FETZER 27516 is a non-metallic plastic cable connector used to secure non-metallic sheathed cable to a steel outlet box or other metal enclosure. Sold in a 5-pack, each connector is sized for 3/4 inch knockouts. Compatible with 14/2 and 10/3 NM cable sizes, these connectors are rated for indoor, dry locations only. Electricians use them during rough-in and finish wiring to create a clean, code-compliant transition where NM cable enters a metal box without requiring a metallic fitting.
These connectors are suited for residential and light commercial electrical work in dry indoor environments. A common install scenario is connecting romex-style NM sheathed cable to steel junction boxes, outlet boxes, or other metal enclosures during new construction or panel work. Each unit provides a secure mechanical grip on the cable jacket while sealing the knockout entry point. The 5-pack format supports single-trade or multi-box runs without repeated resupply trips.
Designed for use with 14/2 and 10/3 non-metallic sheathed cable entering steel outlet boxes or other metal enclosures through 3/4 inch knockouts in dry indoor locations.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC requirements for NM cable entry into metal enclosures. De-energize the circuit and verify power is off at the panel before working inside any electrical box. Insert the connector through the knockout from outside the box, then tighten the locknut on the interior side to secure it. These connectors are rated for dry locations only — do not use in damp, wet, or outdoor environments.
