The HALEX/SCOTT FETZER 2420 is a 2-inch EMT compression connector rated for rain-tight and concrete-tight installations. It secures and terminates electrical metallic tubing to a knockout in a box or enclosure located in damp or wet locations. Licensed electricians install this fitting when running thinwall conduit into junction boxes, panels, or enclosures where moisture intrusion is a concern. The compression design creates a watertight mechanical connection without requiring set screws, making it suitable for outdoor, underground, and other damp-location applications. It carries UL and SA listings, confirming it meets recognized safety standards for electrical installations.
This connector is used in residential and commercial electrical installations where 2-inch EMT is terminated at a metallic or nonmetallic enclosure knockout. Typical applications include service entrances, exterior conduit runs, underground wet-location boxes, and any installation requiring a rain-tight or concrete-tight conduit fitting. The fitting accommodates standard thinwall EMT and is sold in packages of 4 units, making it practical for multi-connection jobs.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit connector for 2-inch electrical metallic tubing in rain-tight and concrete-tight conduit applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). De-energize all circuits in the affected panel or enclosure before beginning work. Insert the EMT fully into the connector body and tighten the compression nut until the fitting is secure and watertight. Verify the conduit and fitting are properly bonded to maintain electrical continuity through the raceway system.
