The HALEX/SCOTT FETZER 22221 is a 1/2 inch EMT compression coupling designed to join two sections of electrical metallic tubing in conduit runs where moisture and concrete encasement are concerns. Constructed from die cast zinc, this coupling meets rain-tight and concrete-tight standards, making it suitable for wet locations and direct embed applications. Each package contains 5 couplings, sold as a unit with individual UPC coding. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this fitting as part of branch circuit or feeder conduit systems in both new construction and retrofit work.

This coupling is used in residential and commercial electrical installations where 1/2 inch EMT conduit is the raceway of choice. Installation Notes

Installation is performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC Article 358 governing EMT conduit systems. Compression couplings require a conduit wrench or strap wrench to achieve proper torque on the compression nut — do not over-tighten, as die cast zinc threads can strip. When embedding in concrete, verify the fitting is rated concrete-tight and seal all open conduit ends before the pour to prevent debris intrusion.
