The HALEX/SCOTT FETZER 20511 is a die cast zinc clamp type connector designed to terminate Type NM cable to a knockout opening in a dry location electrical box or enclosure. The connector uses a twin screw clamping mechanism to secure the cable and fits a 1/2 inch knockout. Constructed from die cast zinc, it provides solid mechanical retention without damaging cable insulation. Each package contains 5 connectors, making it a practical buy for residential rough-in or service work. UL and CA listed for use in dry location applications.
This connector is used in residential and light commercial electrical installations where Type NM (non-metallic sheathed) cable must be secured at the point of entry into a junction box, panel enclosure, or device box. The twin screw design allows the installer to apply even clamping force across the cable jacket. Electricians reach for this connector during new construction wiring, panel upgrades, and rough-in work where dry location NM terminations are required. The 3/8 inch trade size fits standard 1/2 inch knockouts commonly found in steel and plastic enclosures.
Designed for use with Type NM cable in dry location electrical boxes and enclosures with 1/2 inch knockouts. Suitable as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation connector where a 3/8 inch trade size clamp type NM connector is specified.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). De-energize the circuit and verify with a voltage tester before working inside any enclosure. Insert the connector body through the 1/2 inch knockout and secure the locknut hand-tight before final tightening with a screwdriver or strap wrench. Tighten the twin screws firmly against the NM cable jacket without over-torquing, which can damage the cable insulation.
