The HALEX/SCOTT FETZER 12312 is a 1-1/4 inch set screw type connector designed to secure and terminate electrical metallic tubing (EMT) to a knockout opening in a concrete tight box or dry location. Constructed from die cast zinc, this connector provides a reliable mechanical connection between the conduit and the enclosure. It is rated concrete tight, making it suitable for installations where a secure, dust-resistant fit is required. Electricians and electrical contractors install this fitting as part of standard EMT conduit runs in both commercial and residential applications.
This connector is used in EMT conduit systems where the conduit must terminate at a junction box, panel enclosure, or outlet box with a standard knockout. It is appropriate for dry locations and concrete tight installations. The set screw fastening method allows for straightforward tightening with a common screwdriver or nut driver, speeding up conduit termination work on the job site. Each package contains 8 connectors, making it practical for multi-termination projects.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitting for 1-1/4 inch EMT conduit systems terminating at concrete tight boxes or standard knockout enclosures in dry locations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit or panel before beginning conduit termination work. Insert the EMT conduit into the connector body and tighten the set screw firmly using an appropriate screwdriver or nut driver to ensure a secure mechanical connection. Do not overtighten the set screw to the point of deforming the conduit wall.
