The HALEX/SCOTT FETZER 04405B is a 1/2 inch screw-in connector designed to terminate flexible metal conduit (FMC) to a knockout opening in a dry location electrical box or enclosure. This fitting threads directly into the knockout without additional hardware, securing the conduit end and maintaining the integrity of the raceway system. Listed by both UL and CSA, the 04405B meets the certification requirements most jurisdictions demand for finished conduit installations. This contractor pack contains 50 connectors, making it well suited for commercial rough-in work, panel feeds, and multi-circuit installations where a large quantity of FMC terminations are needed in a single job.
This connector is used in residential and commercial electrical installations wherever flexible metal conduit must be landed at a junction box, panel enclosure, disconnect, or similar dry location enclosure. The screw-in design speeds up termination compared to squeeze-type fittings, allowing electricians to complete high-volume conduit work efficiently. Typical applications include equipment connections, motor whips, and branch circuit rough-in where FMC is the raceway of choice. The 50-piece contractor pack reduces trips to the supply house on larger projects.
Designed for use with 1/2 inch flexible metal conduit terminating to a standard knockout in a dry location electrical box or enclosure.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) and applicable local codes. De-energize the circuit and verify zero voltage at the enclosure before beginning any conduit termination work. Thread the connector into the knockout opening and secure the conduit end per the fitting design, then confirm the connection is tight and the conduit is properly supported per NEC requirements. These connectors are rated for dry locations only — do not install in wet or damp location enclosures.
