The HALEX 91321 is a threaded steel reducing bushing designed to adapt a 3/4-inch rigid conduit entry down to a 1/2-inch conduit connection. It allows two rigid metal conduit runs of different trade sizes to be joined at a coupling, enclosure knockout, or fitting. The bushing threads directly onto the conduit or into the fitting, providing a secure mechanical connection without additional hardware. UL listed for compliance with applicable electrical installation standards. Electricians use this fitting wherever conduit size transitions are required in a raceway system.
This reducing bushing is suited for use in commercial and residential electrical installations where rigid metal conduit is the raceway of choice. Common applications include panel enclosure entries, junction box knockouts, and conduit body transitions that require a step-down from 3/4-inch to 1/2-inch trade size. It is sold in packs, making it practical to stock for service calls and new construction work where multiple conduit size transitions are anticipated.
Designed as an OEM-style fitting for use with 3/4-inch to 1/2-inch rigid threaded metal conduit systems in standard electrical raceway installations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize the circuit and verify absence of voltage before working on any conduit system or enclosure entry. Thread the bushing hand-tight first, then use the appropriate conduit wrench or pliers to achieve a secure, wrench-tight connection. Inspect threads on both the bushing and mating conduit for damage before installation to ensure a proper fit.
