The HALEX 26190 is a steel conduit locknut supplied in a 4-pack and sized for 1/2-inch conduit connections. Locknuts are used to secure conduit connectors and bushings to electrical enclosures, junction boxes, and panel knockouts, creating a tight mechanical bond between the conduit fitting and the enclosure wall. This fitting is made from steel for durability in standard electrical installations. Licensed electricians and experienced electrical contractors are the primary installers of this hardware in both new construction and retrofit wiring projects.
This locknut is suited for use with 1/2-inch EMT, rigid metal, or intermediate metal conduit systems in residential and light commercial electrical work. It threads onto the male-threaded end of a conduit connector after it passes through a knockout, then tightens against the inside wall of the enclosure to lock the connector in place. The 4-pack format reduces hardware waste and supports small-to-medium installation tasks where only a few connections are needed at a time.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard hardware fitting for use with 1/2-inch threaded conduit connectors in conventional metallic conduit wiring systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize all circuits and lock out the panel before working inside any electrical enclosure. Thread the locknut onto the conduit connector by hand, then tighten with a locknut wrench or flathead screwdriver and hammer to ensure a firm mechanical connection against the enclosure wall. Do not overtighten to the point of distorting the knockout or cracking the enclosure.
