The HALEX SCOTT FETZER 12420 is a 2-inch EMT set screw type coupling designed to join lengths of electrical metallic tubing in dry or concrete tight installations. Constructed from die cast zinc, this coupling provides a secure, rigid connection between conduit sections. It meets concrete tight performance requirements, making it suitable for embedded or exposed applications where moisture resistance is a factor. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this fitting as part of branch circuit and feeder conduit runs in commercial and residential electrical systems. The package contains 4 couplings and is UL and CSA listed.
This coupling is used in 2-inch EMT conduit systems where a reliable mechanical connection between two conduit segments is required. Typical applications include dry indoor locations and concrete encased conduit installations. The concrete tight rating extends its use to below-grade slabs, poured walls, and other embedded scenarios common in commercial construction. It is sold in packages of 4, making it practical for jobs requiring multiple connections along a single conduit run.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitting for use with 2-inch electrical metallic tubing (EMT) conduit systems in dry and concrete tight applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize all circuits in the work area before beginning conduit assembly. Tighten set screws with the appropriate hex key or screwdriver to achieve a secure mechanical connection. Do not use this coupling with conduit types other than EMT.
