The HALEX 05312 is a clamp-type electrical box connector constructed from die-cast zinc. It secures flexible metal conduit or armored cable to an electrical enclosure by clamping the conduit in place without additional hardware beyond the connector body and locknut. The die-cast zinc body provides solid mechanical strength and corrosion resistance suitable for standard interior electrical installations. Licensed electricians and experienced electrical contractors install this fitting when terminating conduit runs at junction boxes, outlet boxes, and panelboards. The 1-1/4 inch trade size accommodates the corresponding conduit or cable diameter for a secure, code-compliant connection.
This connector is used in residential and light commercial electrical work wherever flexible metal conduit or armored cable must be secured at a box knockout. It is installed at the point where conduit enters a metal or plastic electrical enclosure, providing strain relief and a clean termination. Its compact clamp design simplifies installation in tight spaces and speeds up termination compared to threaded connector types.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-stock fitting for 1-1/4 inch trade size flexible metal conduit and armored cable terminations at electrical enclosure knockouts.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize all circuits and verify the absence of voltage before working inside any electrical enclosure. Insert the connector through the knockout, seat it fully, and tighten the locknut firmly to ensure mechanical security and electrical continuity. Do not overtighten the clamp screw, as this can damage the conduit jacket or cable armor.
