The HAILIANG HL15-460-0402 is a copper reducing tee fitting sized at 2 inches x 2 inches x 1/2 inch, with a CxCxC (copper sweat) connection on all three outlets. It is used to split or branch a copper water or refrigerant line while reducing the branch outlet to a smaller diameter. The fitting is manufactured from copper for reliable soldered joints. Licensed plumbers install this type of fitting in potable water supply, hydronic heating, and other copper-piped systems where a reduced branch connection is required.
This reducing tee is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing installations where a 2-inch main run must tap off to a 1/2-inch branch line. It is commonly installed in domestic hot and cold water distribution systems, in-floor radiant systems, and mechanical room piping. All three connections are sweat-type, requiring standard copper tubing sized to the listed nominal dimensions before soldering.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting compatible with standard nominal 2-inch x 2-inch x 1/2-inch copper tube systems using sweat-joint connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC standards. Shut off and drain the water supply fully before cutting into an existing line. Clean and flux all tube ends before soldering; use lead-free solder where required for potable water systems. Allow the joint to cool completely before restoring water pressure.
