The HAILIANG HL15-460-0304 is a copper reducing tee fitting used in sweat-connected plumbing systems. It joins three copper lines in a tee configuration with inlet and run connections at 1-1/2 inches and a reduced branch outlet at 1 inch, all using copper-to-copper (C x C x C) sweat joints. The OD dimensions are 1-5/8 inches on the run ends and 1-1/8 inches on the branch end. This fitting is installed by licensed plumbers during rough-in, repair, or retrofit work on domestic water distribution systems where a branch takeoff at a reduced diameter is required.
This reducing tee is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing applications where a main water line needs to feed a smaller-diameter branch line. Common install scenarios include distribution manifolds, riser branches, and horizontal main-line taps in copper piping systems. The C x C x C sweat configuration is compatible with standard hard-drawn and annealed copper tube stock.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation copper reducing tee for residential and commercial copper plumbing systems using sweat (solder) joint connections on 1-1/2 inch and 1 inch nominal copper tube.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the applicable International Plumbing Code (IPC) or local authority having jurisdiction. Shut off the water supply and fully drain the affected section of pipe before cutting and deburring. Clean all mating surfaces with emery cloth and apply flux before soldering; heat the fitting body evenly and allow solder to flow fully around the joint. Do not apply flame directly to the solder wire or use excessive heat that could damage adjacent fittings or valve seats.
