The HAILIANG HL15-460-0303 is a copper reducing tee fitting designed for sweat (solder) connections in plumbing systems. It joins two full-size 1.5-inch lines while reducing the branch outlet to 1.25 inches, allowing flow to be directed or split across differently sized runs. The fitting is manufactured from copper and uses a C x C x C connection style, meaning all three ports accept copper tubing joined by soldering. Plumbers install this fitting in residential and light commercial water distribution systems where a branch line steps down from the main run size.
This reducing tee is used in supply piping applications where a 1.5-inch main line needs to tap off to a 1.25-inch branch line. Typical installations include domestic hot and cold water distribution, hydronic heating branch runs, and similar copper pipe systems. The C x C x C end configuration is compatible with standard Type K, Type L, and Type M copper tubing of the corresponding sizes. The OD dimensions are 1.625 inches on the run ports and 1.375 inches on the branch port.
Designed as an OEM-style copper sweat fitting for use with standard 1.5-inch and 1.25-inch copper tubing in residential and commercial plumbing systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off and drain the water supply before cutting into any existing line. Clean all tube ends and fitting sockets thoroughly and apply flux before soldering to ensure a leak-free joint. Allow the fitting to cool completely before restoring water pressure and inspecting for leaks.
