The HAILIANG HL15-460-0224 is a copper reducing tee fitting sized 1-1/4 inches x 1-1/4 inches x 1/2 inches in a CxCxC (copper sweat) end configuration. It is used to split or branch a run of copper pipe while reducing the branch outlet to a smaller diameter. Fabricated from copper, this fitting is well-suited for potable water supply, hydronic heating, and general plumbing distribution systems. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this type of fitting using standard soldering or brazing techniques. The OD dimensions are 1-3/8 inches x 1-3/8 inches x 5/8 inches.
This reducing tee is appropriate for residential and light commercial plumbing installations where a 1-1/4 inch main line run requires a reduced 1/2 inch branch takeoff. Typical applications include domestic hot and cold water distribution, recirculation lines, and hydronic supply or return piping. The sweat-connect ends require clean, deburred pipe ends and proper flux application before soldering.
Designed as a standard sweat-connect copper reducing tee compatible with 1-1/4 inch nominal copper tubing on the run ends and 1/2 inch nominal copper tubing on the branch outlet, following standard CxCxC fitting dimensions.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off and depressurize the water supply before cutting into any existing line. Pipe ends must be cut square, deburred, and cleaned before applying flux and soldering. Avoid overheating the fitting during soldering, as excessive heat can damage the fitting or nearby components.
