The HAILIANG HL15-460-0160 is a copper reducing tee fitting designed for sweat (CxCxC) connections in plumbing and hydronic piping systems. The main run measures 1 inch by 1 inch with a reduced 1/2 inch branch outlet, allowing a single fitting to transition flow from a full-size main line to a smaller branch line without additional reducers. Constructed from copper, this fitting is suited for potable water, heating, and general plumbing distribution applications. It is installed by licensed plumbers and experienced pipe tradespeople working on both new construction and retrofit piping systems.
This reducing tee is used in residential and light commercial plumbing systems where a 1 inch main run needs to feed a 1/2 inch branch line. Typical applications include domestic hot and cold water distribution, radiant heating supply and return manifolds, and HVAC hydronic piping. The CxCxC end configuration requires all three ports to be soldered, making it appropriate for hard-drawn or annealed copper tubing installations.
Designed as an OEM-style copper sweat fitting compatible with standard 1 inch and 1/2 inch hard-drawn or annealed copper tubing in residential and light commercial plumbing applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and applicable local codes. Shut off and drain the water supply completely before cutting into any existing line. Clean all tube ends and fitting cups with emery cloth and apply flux before soldering; use lead-free solder where required by code for potable water systems. Do not apply heat to a fitting that still contains residual water, as steam pressure can cause joint failure.
