The HAILIANG HL15-410-0160 is a copper fitting reducer designed to transition from a 1-inch nominal (1-1/8 inch OD) fitting-end connection to a 1/2-inch nominal (5/8 inch OD) copper tube. It uses a FTG x C configuration, meaning the larger end accepts a fitting and the smaller end accepts standard copper tube via a sweat solder joint. This reducer is used in potable water supply systems, hydronic heating lines, and general plumbing distribution where a diameter reduction is required. Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or experienced tradespeople working with copper piping systems.
This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing applications where a size reduction is needed within a copper piping run. The FTG (fitting) end allows it to be inserted directly into another copper fitting socket, making it useful when chaining fittings in tight spaces. The C (sweat) end connects to standard ACR or plumbing-grade copper tube using common flux and lead-free solder per applicable codes.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for standard copper plumbing and hydronic systems using 1-inch to 1/2-inch nominal copper tube and fittings.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and local authority requirements. Shut off and drain the water supply before cutting into any existing piping. Clean and flux all mating surfaces thoroughly before applying heat, and use only lead-free solder on potable water systems as required by code. Allow joints to cool completely before restoring pressure.
