The HAILIANG HL15-410-0149 is a copper fitting reducer designed to transition between a 3/4-inch FTG (fitting) connection and a 5/8-inch C (sweat/solder) connection. This fitting is used to step down pipe or tubing diameter within a copper plumbing or HVAC refrigerant line system. It is manufactured from copper for reliable solder joints and corrosion resistance. The OD dimensions are 7/8 inches by 3/4 inches. Plumbers and HVAC technicians install this type of reducer when connecting different tube sizes within the same run, reducing the need for additional adapters or transition fittings.
This reducer is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing and HVAC applications where a direct copper-to-copper size reduction is required. The FTG end slides over tubing for a standard soldered joint, while the C end accepts standard copper tubing. It is commonly installed in water supply lines, hydronic systems, and refrigerant line sets wherever a 3/4-inch to 5/8-inch step-down is needed.
Designed as an OEM-style copper fitting reducer for use in standard 3/4-inch by 5/8-inch copper tube systems following FTG x C joint configurations.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or HVAC technicians using standard copper soldering tools including a torch, flux, and lead-free solder per applicable plumbing codes such as the IPC. Shut off and drain the water supply or recover refrigerant from the system before cutting into any existing line. Clean and flux all mating surfaces thoroughly before applying heat to ensure a leak-free joint. Do not overheat the fitting during soldering, as excessive heat can compromise the joint integrity.
