The HAILIANG HL15-410-0108 is a copper fitting reducer designed to transition from a 3/4-inch to a 3/8-inch copper line in a sweat-fit (FTG x C) configuration. The fitting-to-copper end connection allows this reducer to be used inline within a run of copper tube, with the male spigot end inserted directly into a standard cup-end fitting and the female cup end receiving standard copper tubing. Plumbers and pipefitters use this fitting in potable water, hydronic, and refrigeration line applications where a reduction in tube diameter is required. The fitting is machined from copper for reliable, long-life brazed or soldered joints.
This reducer is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing installations where copper tubing systems require a step-down in line size. Typical applications include branch takeoffs, supply line reductions, and transitions within copper distribution systems. The FTG x C end configuration makes it compatible with standard sweat-soldering assembly practices used throughout the trade.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation fitting for standard copper tube plumbing systems using 3/4-inch and 3/8-inch nominal copper tubing in residential and commercial applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the IPC. Shut off the water supply and fully drain the line before cutting and fitting. Clean all mating surfaces with emery cloth and apply appropriate flux before soldering or brazing. Do not apply flame directly to the fitting joint without protecting adjacent materials, and allow joints to cool fully before restoring line pressure.
