The HAILIANG HL15-140-0107 is a copper flush bushing configured in a FTG x C (fitting-to-sweat) connection pattern, used to reduce a 3/4-inch copper line down to a 1/2-inch sweat connection. The fitting seats flush inside a standard socket end, allowing a clean inline reduction without adding significant length to the assembly. Constructed entirely from copper, it is compatible with standard soldering techniques used in potable water, hydronic, and general plumbing applications. This fitting is installed by licensed plumbers and experienced pipe tradespeople on both new construction and retrofit projects.
This flush bushing is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing systems where a 3/4-inch to 1/2-inch reduction is needed at a fitting socket rather than a threaded connection. Common scenarios include branch takeoffs at distribution manifolds, supply line transitions, and hydronic piping assemblies. The FTG end inserts directly into the cup of a standard 3/4-inch sweat fitting, making it a compact solution when inline space is limited.
Designed as a standard-dimension copper flush bushing for use with 3/4-inch x 1/2-inch sweat copper piping systems following ASTM and ASME B16.22 dimensional standards for wrought copper fittings.
Installation requires shutting off the water supply and fully draining the line before soldering. A licensed plumber should perform or supervise the work in jurisdictions where code requires it. Clean and flux all mating surfaces before applying heat, and follow applicable IPC or local plumbing code requirements for lead-free solder in potable water systems. Do not apply heat to a fitting that still contains water, as steam pressure can cause joint failure.
