The HAILIANG AMERICA ACR-20X7/8 is a 7/8-inch outer diameter hard-drawn copper tube manufactured to ACR (Air Conditioning and Refrigeration) standards. It ships in a 20-foot straight length, equivalent to 240 inches, and weighs 9.1 pounds. Hard copper ACR tubing is used to carry refrigerant between system components and is a staple material in residential and commercial HVAC-R installations. HVAC technicians and refrigeration mechanics install this tube when constructing or repairing refrigerant line sets, suction lines, and discharge lines where rigid, hard-drawn copper is required over soft-coil alternatives.
This tubing is suited for refrigerant piping applications in split-system air conditioners, heat pumps, refrigeration cases, and chilled-water ancillary lines where a straight, rigid run is specified. The 7/8-inch size is commonly used for suction-line runs on mid-capacity residential and light commercial systems. At 20 feet per stick, it is appropriate for field fabrication, cut-to-length work, and shop pre-fabrication of refrigerant circuits.
Designed as an OEM-style and field-service replacement copper ACR tube for use in residential and commercial refrigerant piping systems requiring 7/8-inch hard copper straight lengths.
Installation of ACR copper tubing in refrigerant systems must be performed by EPA Section 608 certified technicians. Recover all refrigerant and depressurize the system before cutting or brazing any existing lines. Brazing operations require nitrogen purge through the tubing to prevent internal oxidation scale, which can contaminate compressors and metering devices. Always deburr cut ends and ream to full inside diameter before fitting and brazing.
