The GWS 315413 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in non-ferrous metal applications. Built on a submicron carbide substrate with a ZrN (zirconium nitride) coating, it delivers extended tool life and reduced built-up edge in aluminum, brass, copper, and similar materials. The 0.015-inch corner radius protects the cutting edge against chipping while producing a controlled edge break on finished surfaces. With 3 helical flutes and a right-hand cutting direction, it provides efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working with non-ferrous stock will find this tool suited to both roughing passes and semi-finish work.

This end mill fits standard end mill holders with a 1/4-inch straight-cylindrical shank (h6 tolerance). The single-end, centercutting design allows plunge entry and peripheral milling in a single setup. The 3/8-inch length of cut and 2.125-inch reach length make it appropriate for short-reach slots, pockets, and contour milling in aluminum plate, die-cast parts, and similar non-ferrous workpieces. Installation Notes

Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine powered down and in a locked-out, tagged-out state per facility lockout/tagout procedures. Verify runout with a dial indicator before first cut, as excessive runout will accelerate edge wear. Do not use this tool on ferrous materials; coating and geometry are optimized for non-ferrous applications only.
