The GWS 311305 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for demanding metal removal in steel, stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, and cast iron. The tool features a 5/8 inch cutting diameter with a 0.03 inch corner radius, four helical flutes, and a variable helix and variable index geometry that reduces chatter and improves surface finish across both roughing and finishing passes. At 3.5 inches overall length with a 1-5/8 inch length of cut, it provides the reach and rigidity needed for most milling center applications. The FX3 coating classification and submicron carbide grade support high-performance cutting in difficult workpiece materials. Centercutting geometry allows plunge entry where required.
The 311305 is suited for machining operations on CNC vertical and horizontal milling centers where high-performance end mills are required for steel and stainless steel finishing, superalloy slotting, or titanium profiling. The straight cylindrical shank with h6 tolerance mounts directly into standard end mill holders. With a normal pitch and right-hand flute direction, it fits standard right-hand spindle setups. Secondary workpiece material compatibility includes cast iron. The single-end configuration is standard for precision toolpath applications in production and job-shop environments.
Designed for use with standard end mill holders. Primary workpiece materials include steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium. Secondary workpiece material is cast iron. The straight cylindrical shank with h6 tolerance fits standard collet and end mill holder systems on CNC milling machines.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Secure the shank fully into the end mill holder and verify runout before beginning a cut. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Do not exceed the rated depth of cut or feed rate for the workpiece material being machined.
