The GWS 310483 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. With a 3/4 inch (0.7500 inch) mill diameter and a 3.04 mm (0.1200 inch) corner radius, this tool delivers both roughing and finishing capability in a single setup. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral configuration with variable helix and variable index geometry reduces chatter and improves chip evacuation. At 5 inches overall length with a 2-1/4 inch length of cut, it provides the reach needed for deeper pocketing and profiling operations. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling specialists working in job shops, aerospace, or precision manufacturing will find this end mill suited to demanding tolerances.
This end mill is built for cutting steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium as primary workpiece materials, with cast iron as a secondary application. The submicron carbide grade and FX3 coating classification support elevated cutting speeds and extended tool life in abrasive and hard-to-machine alloys. The straight-cylindrical shank with h6 tolerance is compatible with standard end mill toolholders. The single-end, centercutting design allows plunge entry, making it useful for slot milling, contouring, and ramp-entry operations without requiring a pre-drilled starter hole.
Designed for use with standard end mill toolholders. Primary workpiece materials are steel, stainless steel, superalloys, and titanium; secondary workpiece material is cast iron. Series 2100.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Confirm the toolholder bore and shank diameter match before clamping, and torque the toolholder to the machine manufacturer's specified value. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material being cut.
