The GWS 125667 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 3/8 inch (0.3750 inch) mill diameter, a 1-1/2 inch length of cut, and a 0.015 inch corner radius that extends tool life by reducing stress concentrations at the cutting edge. The submicron carbide grade provides the hardness and wear resistance needed for high-efficiency roughing passes. With three flutes, a right-hand spiral flute geometry, and a high helix style, this end mill promotes efficient chip evacuation and consistent surface finish on aluminum, copper, brass, and similar non-ferrous workpiece materials. It is a single-end, straight-shank tool designed for use in standard end mill toolholders.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines used in job shops, production facilities, and maintenance environments where non-ferrous metals are the primary workpiece material. The coarse pitch and roughing-class material removal type make it a practical choice for slotting, profiling, and pocketing operations where stock removal rate is the priority. The bright/uncoated finish is appropriate for non-ferrous applications where coating adhesion to the workpiece is a concern. The long length type and 4 inch overall length provide clearance for deeper setups without requiring extended-reach tooling.
Designed for use with standard end mill toolholders accepting a 3/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece material is non-ferrous metal (material code N), including aluminum, brass, copper, and similar alloys.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician following standard toolholder setup procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the end mill. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder and torque the set screw or collet to the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning the cut, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear and reduces dimensional accuracy.
