The GWS 125661 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for material removal in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 3/4 inch cutting diameter, a 2-1/2 inch length of cut, and a 0.03 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge and extends tool life in demanding roughing operations. With 3 flutes in a right-hand spiral configuration and a high helix style, the tool promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. It is single-end and center-cutting, allowing plunge entry as well as peripheral milling. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working with aluminum, brass, copper, and other non-ferrous materials will find this tool suited to long-reach roughing work.
The 125661 is built for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where a long-reach, coarse-pitch end mill is required. Its 5 inch overall length and straight cylindrical shank make it compatible with standard end mill toolholders. The primary material application is non-ferrous metal, making it appropriate for aerospace, automotive, and general fabrication work involving aluminum and similar materials. The bright uncoated finish is suited for applications where coating interaction with workpiece material is a concern or where re-sharpening is anticipated.
Designed for use with standard end mill toolholders. Primary workpiece material is non-ferrous metal. Straight cylindrical shank with h6 diameter tolerance is compatible with collet chucks, hydraulic chucks, and shrink-fit holders sized for 3/4 inch shanks.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator familiar with toolholder torque procedures and runout verification. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked before inserting or removing the end mill. Secure the shank to the full recommended engagement depth in the toolholder to prevent pullout during heavy roughing passes. Verify runout with a dial indicator after tool installation and before cutting to protect both the tool and the workpiece.
