The GWS 122876 is a solid carbide square end mill engineered for high-performance milling in demanding material applications. With a 1/8 inch diameter and 7 flutes, it delivers fine surface finishes and efficient chip evacuation in tight-tolerance work. The nACRo coating provides elevated heat and wear resistance, extending tool life in abrasive or high-temperature cutting environments. The variable helix geometry reduces harmonic vibration and chatter, improving cut stability. Overall length is 1.5 inches with a 0.5 inch length of cut. This tool is intended for use by machinists and tooling professionals working with precision CNC milling equipment.
The GWS 122876 is suited for milling operations across a broad range of workpiece materials, including hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, non-ferrous metals, titanium alloys, and high-temperature superalloys, as indicated by primary workpiece material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. The standard-length profile and 1/8 inch shank diameter make it a practical choice for slot milling, peripheral milling, and finishing passes on small-feature components. The single-end, right-hand cut configuration fits standard milling machine and CNC machining center toolholders.
Designed for use in standard CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 1/8 inch square shank end mill. Compatible with workpiece materials classified under material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S, covering a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous metals as well as superalloys.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and de-energized before changing tooling. Verify the toolholder bore and collet size match the 1/8 inch shank before securing the tool. Follow machine manufacturer torque specifications for the collet nut or set screw and confirm runout is within acceptable limits before beginning the cut.
