The GWS 121532 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for demanding metal removal in steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials. The tool features a 3/8 inch (0.3750 inch) mill diameter with a matching 3/8 inch straight-cylindrical shank and a 3.04 mm (0.1200 inch) corner radius that reduces edge chipping and extends tool life at the cutting corner. With 4 flutes, a variable helix, and variable index geometry, this end mill is engineered for both roughing and finishing passes in a single setup. It is rated for use in end mill holders and is built to submicron carbide material grade standards for consistent performance in high-wear applications.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and milling operations in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments where steel, stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, titanium, and hard materials are the primary workpiece materials. The center-cutting configuration allows plunge entry, and the right-hand flute direction with right-hand cutting rotation makes it compatible with standard spindle configurations. The 2-1/4 inch length of cut and 3 inch overall length give machinists sufficient reach for medium-depth pocketing, profiling, and contouring work without excessive tool deflection.
Designed for use with standard end mill holders. Primary workpiece materials include steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium (material codes P, K, S, H). Secondary workpiece material is stainless steel (material code M). Series 1030.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before loading or unloading the tool. Secure the shank fully within the end mill holder to the manufacturer-recommended engagement depth and confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut. Verify spindle direction is set to right-hand rotation before engaging the workpiece.
